Cardiff Car Wash is a family-owned, full-service hand car wash and auto detailing business operating at 820 Birmingham Drive, Cardiff-by-the-Sea, California 92007. We share our lot with separately operated, commonly-owned businesses (including the Cardiff Valero). This Policy applies to cardiffcarwash.com; affiliated businesses and their websites maintain their own privacy policies.
Information you provide directly. When you contact us, sign up for a membership, or redeem an offer, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, vehicle information (make, model, and license plate — used to identify your membership at the gate), and any other details you choose to share.
Payment information. Membership and online payments are processed by our payment processor, Stripe, Inc. Your card number is transmitted directly to Stripe over an encrypted connection; we do not store full payment-card numbers on our systems. Stripe's handling of your information is described in Stripe's own privacy policy.
Information collected automatically. When you use our website, we and our service providers collect certain information through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies — including IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, clicks, time on page, and approximate location derived from IP. We use Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4, and Google Ads measurement services for this purpose (see our Cookie Policy).
Information from third parties. We may receive information from our payment processor, advertising and analytics platforms, and publicly available sources (for example, reviews you post publicly on Google or Yelp).
Sensitive personal information. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information as defined under the CCPA/CPRA in the ordinary course of business. If you apply for employment with us, application materials you submit are used only for hiring purposes.

We do not sell personal information for money. However, our use of third-party advertising cookies (such as Google Ads measurement and remarketing) may be considered "sharing" of internet activity data for cross-context behavioral advertising under the CCPA/CPRA. Membership account records are retained for the life of the membership plus the period required for tax and accounting purposes. Marketing lists are retained until you unsubscribe. Google Analytics data is retained for up to 26 months.
Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will promptly delete it.
We use reasonable administrative, physical, and technical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) across our website and PCI-compliant payment processing through Stripe. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
